The annual Opening Day Parade will be held on Saturday, April 25th!  This year the parade has a new route! Kids will gather in the parking lot of the Federated Church of Norfolk/Norfolk Cooperative Preschool at 9:45 AM, wearing their uniforms.  The parade begins towards Freeman Kennedy at approximately 10am. Kids will march from the church through the center of town on Route 115, take a right on Boardman Street and arrive at the AAA Field.  Once the kids arrive, they will gather in the outfield of the AAA Field where the Norfolk Board will say a few words to ceremonially kick off the season. The opening ceremony will be followed by a day of fun!  New to the celebration this year is the Red Sox Showcase Fan Experience! There will be a batting cage, pitching stations, radar gun, Green Monster wall, and other fun games!  Food trucks will be on site and the Lions Club will be working the grill so families can enjoy the afternoon!

**There will not be parking at the church/preschool because of all the kids gathering there.  We suggest you park at Freeman Kennedy and then walk to the parade via the Geneva Ave shortcut.  Alternatively, you can park in the town center or the MBTA parking lot (payment required).
